Teal Blue Water

One of the best off-beat places located near Daman-Gujarat border, it is a naturally formed lake after years of quarrying in the area.

Water here is crystal clear and teal blue due to the presence of limestone. Initially, the place used to be used for mining limestone and on presence of sunlight, it emits vibrant colours. The place is a popular hotspot for pre-wedding photoshoots.

While in Daman, visitors can explore historical sites like the Fort of St. Jerome, the Church of Bom Jesus, and the Chapel of Our Lady of Rosary. Daman has a rich history influenced by Portuguese colonial rule. These architectural marvels reflect the town's colonial past and are of great cultural and historical significance.

The two main beaches nearby, Devka Beach and Jampore Beach, offer golden sands, gentle waves, and stunning sunset views. These beaches are perfect for leisurely walks, sunbathing, and water sports like jet-skiing and parasailing.

Daman Bucket List

It is not recommeded to swim in the water or even touch it due to its highly alkaline nature as a result of quarrying. The Quarry Lake must be added into the itinerary along with other destinations to visit in Daman for a perfect weekend getaway.
